Franklin W. Knight, 68, of Normal, Ill., died Monday, May 18, 1992, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, Ill.
He was born Sept. 10, 1923, at Indianola, Ill., son of Dale C. and Joy Willison Knight. He and Marie P. Fridmanski were married Dec. 2, 1950, in Westville, Ill.
Knight was employed 38 years by Country Mutual Insurance Co. in Bloomington, retiring in 1986 as manager of the home office. He was a U.S. Navy pilot in World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Scott Knight of Bloomington, Mark Knight of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Robert Knight of Indianola; a sister, Mary Williams of Tuscola, Ill., and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Metzler-Froelich Memorial Home in Bloomington. The Rev. Theodore H. Loy will officiate, with private family entombment at Park Hill Mausoleum in Bloomington.
