FRANKLIN L. SCHAEFFER

EAST PRAIRIE -- Franklin Louis Schaeffer, 65, of East Prairie, died Sunday, May 29, 1994, at Reading Hospital in Reading, Pa.

He was born March 19, 1929, in Frackville, Pa., son of Franklin L. and Ella Blackwell Schaeffer. He and Janice Wallace were married March 22, 1980, in Collinsville, Ill.

Schaeffer was a retired self-employed shoe repairman. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Twylla Shaver of Oran, Rhonda Boswick of Florida; two brothers, Carl Schaeffer of Temple, Pa., Ed Schaeffer of San Francisco, Calif.; four sisters, Erma Riedsiach of Reading, Caroline Rantnar of Fleetwood, Pa., Helen Diamond of Womelsdorf, Pa., Edith Schearindy of Mt. Penn, Pa., and five grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Shelby Funeral Chapel here, with Mike Johnson officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Saturday.
