Franklin Wilbert Elliott, 74, of Scott City passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015, at his residence. He was born Sept. 12, 1941, in Kennett, Missouri, the son of Benjamin Wilbert and Viola Mae Harsh Elliott. He and LaVonna Ann Swim were married Jan. 1, 1979, in Murphy, Missouri...

Franklin Wilbert Elliott, 74, of Scott City passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 12, 1941, in Kennett, Missouri, the son of Benjamin Wilbert and Viola Mae Harsh Elliott. He and LaVonna Ann Swim were married Jan. 1, 1979, in Murphy, Missouri.

Franklin was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Scott City.

He worked for Busch's Toy Train System, delivering beer within the Anheuser-Busch compound, for 17 years.

He was a ham radio operator most of his life.

In addition to his wife, LaVonna, survivors include five children, Steven Gunnels, Jessica Hughes, James Gunnels, Melissa Conner and Frankie Elliott; nine grandchildren, Phynex, Joshua, Michael, Eidon and Cameron Gunnels, Corey and Chase Hughes and Rickie and D.J. Conner; a brother, David Elliott; and a sister, Imogene Wold.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Harvey, Herman and Paul Elliott; two sisters, Mary Evans and Betty Dinkle; and two infant sisters, Anna Bell and Margaret Elliott.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
