Frankie J. Owens, 75, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Benton, Mo., and East Prairie, Mo., passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Aug. 14, 1935, in East Prairie, to Howard Harr Adkisson of East Prairie and the late Robert Adkisson.
Frankie lived in Benton most of her life, where she was employed as a clerk in the Scott County circuit clerk's office. She lived in Cape Girardeau since 2002 where she was a member of Cape Community Church.
She and Denny Lee Owens were married Dec. 4, 1954.
Survivors include her mother; husband; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Daryl and Tracy Owens of Jackson, Dennis Owens of Blodgett, Mo.; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Cecila Adkisson of East Prairie; five grandchildren, Bridgett Owens, Devon Owens, Maddy Owens, Dustin Owens and Erin Owens; three great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, and a sister, Jean Nall.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, with Jeremy Clayton officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
