NEELY'S LANDING, Mo. -- Frankie M. Allen, 86, formerly of Neely's Landing, passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation in Cape Girardeau.
Born Jan. 6, 1916, in Oriole, Mo., she was the daughter of William and Nora Webb Myer.
On Oct. 19, 1931, in Bloomfield, Mo., she was married to Burley F. Allen. He passed away Sept. 8, 1985.
Loving survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law, Harry D. and Marie Allen of Cape Girardeau, Kenny and Yvonne Allen of Virden, Ill., nine grandchildren, Carla Young and husband, Tom, of Cape, Barbara Lorenz and husband, Kirk, and John Allen and wife, Deena, all of Fruitland, Mo., Dale Allen and wife, Beth, of Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., Ron Voshage and wife, Carol, of Jackson, Joe Voshage and wife, Ruby, of Fruitland, David and Karen Voshage of Jackson, Mo., David Allen and Crystal Allen of Virden.
Also surviving are 18 great-grandchildren, Lance and Logan Young; Casey and Kody Lorenz; Tyler and Taylor Allen; Ryan and Brandon Allen; Merit, Shane and Aaron Voshage; Chris, Shawna, Nic and Shane Voshage; Jeremy, Jessica and Joshua Voshage.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Violet Voshage; a great-grandson, Dustin Voshage; five brothers; and a sister.
Mrs. Allen was a homemaker all her life. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed fishing and quilting. She was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church for many years.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson and after 10 a.m. Monday at New Bethel Baptist Church near Pocahontas, Mo.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. at the church, with the Rev. John Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
