ST. LOUIS Frank W. Hoppe, 70, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1993, at Clayton House Healthcare in West St. Louis County.

Hoppe of Crestwood, was born in Poplar Bluff.

Hoppe was a teacher. He taught at Roosevelt High School in St. Louis 25 years before retiring in 1985. He was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University and obtained a master's degree at University of Missouri.

He served in the Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Edith Hoppe; a son, David Hoppe, of Huntsville, Ala.; a daughter, Joan Dudley of West County; a brother, Charles Hoppe of Cape Girardeau; and four grandchildren.

Service was held Friday at South County Bible Church. Burial was in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
