Frank L. Snider Sr., 91, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, April 10, 2005, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born April 5, 1914, at Burfordville, son of Samuel and Ona Moore Snider. He and Margaret Wilma Smith were married May 25, 1935, at Benton, Mo. She died Jan. 16, 1983.
Snider was a riverboat captain with Marquette Cement, and later retired from Dow Chemical. He was a member of Maple United Methodist Church, Harold O. Grauel Masonic Lodge, and VFW Post 3838.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and four sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Lorimier Cemetery, with the Rev. Jim Cooper officiating. Rites will be conducted by VFW Post 3838 and Harold O. Grauel Masonic Lodge.
