Sibley, 85, died Thursday, Feb. 29, 1996, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born April 8, 1910, at Matthews, son of Frank E. and Jessie Evelyn Pell Sibley Sr. He and Berniece F. Farris were married April 16, 1938, in Hernando, Miss.

Sibley was a rural mail carrier in Sikeston 40 years. He was a member of First Christian Church at Matthews.

Survivors include his wife, and a daughter, Jan Sibley of Perryville.

He was preceded in death by a brother.
