FRANK ROBISON

OAK RIDGE -- Frank Robison, 61, of Oak Ridge died Wednesday, April 22, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born March 2, 1937, at Neelys Landing, son of Robert and Zola Penrod Robison.

He married Zelma Sides Aug. 23, 1958. She survives.

He served in the U.S. Air Force for six years. He worked for the Jackson Hosiery Mill and worked six years at McDonnel-Douglas Aircraft in St. Louis. He also worked at the former H&S Equipment in Jackson and Jackson Equipment as a mechanic and truck driver. He worked as a delivery truck driver for HAVCO in Cape Girardeau for five years, and for the last five years, he worked as a truck driver for Buchheit Trucking.

He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the American Legion in Jackson.

He is survived by his mother of Jackson; two daughters, Tanya Sampson of Troy, Tenn., and Liz Clements of Jackson; a brother, Wilbur "Clay" Robison of Boise, Idaho; four sisters, Elva Lee Robert of Scott City, Della Ames of Park Hills, Betty Bethea of Little Rock, S.C., and Nancy Johnston of Jackson; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson and after 1 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church Saturday. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Bethel Baptist Church, with the Revs. Don Slatton, Johnny Clements and Mike Harrison officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The Air Force Color Guard will perform honor guard services at the graveside.
