MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Frank James Jr., 55, of Marble Hill died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000, in a fire at his home.
He was born Aug. 17, 1945, at Holcomb, Mo., son of Frank and Beatrice Hall James.
James was retired from Gilster-Mary Lee in Perryville, Mo. He attended Lutesville General Baptist Church.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and received the Medal of Honor, Vietnam Service Medal, and Purple Heart.
Survivors include three sons, Jamie James of Centralia, Ill., Randall James of Denver, Colo., Robert James of Portland, Ore.; two daughters, Rebekah and Jennifer James of Marble Hill; two sisters, Pat Wilfong of Marble Hill, and Karen Wilfong of Wappapello, Mo.
There is no visitation.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bollinger County Memorial Park Columbarium. Military rites will be conducted by VFW Post 5900 and Missouri Honors Team.
Liley Funeral Home at Marble Hill is in charge of arrangements.
