CHARLESTON -- Frank Evans Jr., 71, of Charleston died Friday, Dec. 31, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 8, 1928, in Phillippy, Tenn., the son of Frank and Flossie Pearl Crafton Evans. He and Frances Harris Evans were married April 21, 1948. She died Jan. 3, 1999.
Evans had lived in Charleston most of his life and was a retired funeral director for Shelby Funeral Home in Charleston.
Survivors include his stepmother, Oma Evans of Olmsted, Ill; a brother, Eddie Evans of Gage, Ky; three sisters, June Werle of St. Louis, Betty Cox of Ocala, Fla., and Shirley Crane of Olmsted.
His parents and a brother preceded him in death.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Chapel in Charleston.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Shelby Chapel with the Rev. Charles J. Lance officiating. Burial will be at the Odd Fellows Cemetery near Charleston.
