STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. -- Francis "Frank" J. Elpers, 69, of Ste. Genevieve died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 4, 1948, in Evansville, Indiana.
Frank was a member of the Ste. Genevieve Scooter Club, Ste. Genevieve Rotary Club, Ste. Genevieve Elks, Ste. Genevieve Eagles and Ste. Genevieve Golf Club. He was an attorney in Ste. Genevieve for over 30 years and was city attorney for Ste. Genevieve, Bloomsdale and St. Mary, Missouri. He also served as prosecuting attorney in Ste. Genevieve and St. Mary. Frank received his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
He is survived by a loving friend, Cheryl Neihart of Ste. Genevieve; a daughter, Lori (Alan) Blount of Jackson; a sister, Cathy (Fred) Titzer of Evansville; a brother, Richard Elpers of St. Peters, Missouri; and a grandchild, Ryker Blount.
Frank was preceded in death by his father, Edward Elpers, and his mother, Elizabeth Schweigman Elpers.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.
A private funeral service will be held.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
