CHARLESTON -- Frank David Lair III, a resident of the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, formerly of Charleston and Sikeston, died at the Veterans Home Thursday, Dec. 27, 1990.

He was born Aug. 27, 1923, in Charleston, son of Frank David Lair Jr., and Gladys Velvick Lair.

He was a retired stock and commodity broker at Sikeston, doing business with the G. H. Miller and company and the Jim Becherer Co.

He was an avid Bridge player, and was a Master in Duplicate Bridge.

He was a member of the Methodist Church of Charleston.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Ford Lair, and a son, Robert Anthony Lair.

Survivors included two sons, David Dane Lair, St. Louis, and Steven Ford Lair of Sikeston; two daughters, Mrs. Art (Suzanne) Martinez of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Mrs. Jerry (Lela) Inman of Sikeston; a step-son, Mary Pry of Springfield; a step daughter, Kim Pry Jobe of Sikeston; and eight grandchildren.
