ZALMA, Mo. -- Glen "Frank" Burkman Sr., 58, of Zalma died Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at his home.

He was born Sept. 9, 1950, at Gipsy, Mo., son of James and Bertha Wallace Burkman.

Burkman was a sawmill worker and member of the Church of Christ in Advance, Mo.

Survivors include a son, Frank Burkman Jr. of McGee, Mo.; three daughters, Gladys Massa of Marble Hill, Mo., Lori Burkman of Zalma, Rebecca Burkman of Benton, Mo.; a stepson, Junior Maddock of Perryville, Mo.; three brothers, Paul Burkman of Marble Hill, Everett Burkman of Zalma, Dale Burkman of Gipsy; six sisters, Lora Lowe of Alton, Ill., Elizabeth Bennett of Zalma, Mary Trunnell of Fairview Heights, Ill., Carol Lincoln of Cobden, Ill., Evelyn Garner of Advance, Pam Purcell of Kentucky; five grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Kyle Carter officiating. Burial will be in Berrong Cemetery.
