INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Francis "Bud" Westrich, 89, of Indianapolis passed away Friday, July 2, 2021, at the Harrison Retirement Center in Indianapolis.
He was born to John and Frances Westrich on March 12, 1932, in IIlmo.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 and was stationed in the Philippines. He was self-employed for many years and also worked as a brakeman for several railroad companies until he retired.
Bud was an avid hobby car builder and enjoyed showing his cars at numerous car rallies and shows in the Indianapolis area.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Linda; son, Roger; and granddaughter, Laura.
He is survived by brothers, Andrew Westrich and Paul Crader; his ex-wife, Marie; daughters, Beatrice and Darlene; sons, Tony and Larry; as well as eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Malachy Catholic Church in Brownsburg, Indiana. Burial will follow at St. Malachy North Cemetery in Brownsburg.
