Francis B. "Beryl" Stroder, 83, formerly of Burfordville, passed away Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born Jan. 14, 1920, in Laflin, Mo., daughter of John and Carrie Schaefer Huffman. She and Hilbert Stroder were married Feb. 20, 1937, in Jackson. He passed away Feb. 11, 1973...

Francis B. "Beryl" Stroder, 83, formerly of Burfordville, passed away Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 14, 1920, in Laflin, Mo., daughter of John and Carrie Schaefer Huffman. She and Hilbert Stroder were married Feb. 20, 1937, in Jackson. He passed away Feb. 11, 1973.

The Stroders raised their family in Burfordville. In 1962, they moved to House Springs, Mo. In 2000, she returned to live at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in House Springs.

Loving survivors include three sons, Wayne Stroder and wife Kathie of Oak Ridge, Mo., Kelly L. Stroder and wife Donna of Hillsboro, and Ken Stroder and wife Connie of Fenton, Mo.; three daughters, Jackie Johnson of Cape Girardeau, Mary Lou Estes and husband Wayne of Jackson, and Kathy Bast and husband Larry of St. Louis.

Also surviving are two sisters, Dorothy Revell and husband Loren, and Velma Allen and husband Curtis, all of Leopold, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and a grandson.

Friends may call Tuesday, Dec. 9, between 4 and 8 p.m., at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 1 p.m., at the funeral home. Beryl's nephews, the Revs. Joe Allen and Mike Huffman, will officiate.

Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
