Francis Long, 70, of Burfordville died Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, at his home following a lengthy illness.
He was born April 26, 1934, in Hurricane, Mo., son of the Rev. Jonas E. and Nancy Garland Long. He and Ruby V. Jaco were married Aug. 14, 1954, at Marble Hill, Mo.
They had owned and operated Ruby's Family Restaurant in Marble Hill for many years, and he was in the long trucking business. He attended Haynes Chapel Congregational Methodist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Donna Yeargain of Burfordville; two brothers, Elzie Long of Marble Hill, Junior W. Long of Grassy, Mo.; three sisters, Opal Fulbright and Juanita Long, both of Marble Hill, Martha Compas of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and twin grandsons.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jerry Sander officiating.
Burial will be in Haynes Chapel Church Cemetery near Burfordville.
