FARMINGTON, Mo. -- Francis Henry "Frank" Hoormann, 64, of Farmington passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2013.
He was born Nov. 10, 1948, in St. Charles, Mo., son of the late Frank Bernard and LaVerne Koester Hoormann.
Frank grew up in Florissant, Mo., where he graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in 1966. He was employed most of his adult life as an auto mechanic. Since moving to Farmington in 1995 he had been employed at Farmington Wal-Mart. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to landscape. Mowing grass and manicuring his lawn was a favorite pastime. He also enjoyed feeding wild birds and watching the wildlife around his farm.
Survivors include three daughters, De Anna (Michael) Drexler, Terri (Karl) Hoormann and Jennifer (Jeff) Cardwell; four stepchildren, Cheryl Whitfield, Butch, Mark and Kelly Jundt; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rita and Dianne; six brothers, Larry, Richard, Alan, Bobby, Jerry and Ronnie; and a host of extended family and good friends.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Norma Jean Hoormann, in 2011.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Cozean Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. James Dyer officiating.
