PERRYVILLE -- Francis "Hap" Taylor, 84, of Perryville, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 1997, at the Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born May 20, 1912, in Perry County, son of the late Thomas and Mary Whistler Taylor. He married Olinda Mary Gotto on Aug. 18, 1936, and she survives him.

He had worked at International Shoe until his retirement.

He is survived by two sons, Larry Taylor, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and James Taylor of Bowling Green, Ky.; one daughter, Sandra Schweiss of Bowling Green; one sister, Mary Mowry of Perryville; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, and 6:30 a.m. to 11:10 a.m. Friday, at Young & Sons Chapel in Perryville. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today. A Funeral Mass will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerry Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
