FRANCIS GOETZ

SIKESTON -- Francis C. Goetz, 62, of Sikeston died Sunday, Dec. 28, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born July 31, 1935, at Miner, son of Francis "Frank" and Theta "Delphia" Pry Goetz. He and Jeris E. Merideth were married Jan. 2, 1955, at Sikeston.

Goetz had pastored at Christ Gospel churches in Mississippi, Illinois and Texas. He was a truck driver 10 years with Atlas Carriers of Searcy, Ark. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Bell City.

Survivors include his wife; three brothers, Louie Goetz of Sikeston, Johnny Goetz of Jeffersonville, Ind., Terry Goetz of McDonough, Ga.; two sisters, Glenda Woods of Jeffersonville, and Patricia Stroup of LaPlace, La.

He was preceded in death by two sons and a brother.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Curtis True officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
