ANNA, Ill. -- Francis Edward Tucker, 73, of Anna, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born June 17, 1920, in Gorham, son of Frank and Olive Dorway Tucker. He and Adell Miller were married in February 1947. She died Feb. 3, 1993...

ANNA, Ill. -- Francis Edward Tucker, 73, of Anna, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 17, 1920, in Gorham, son of Frank and Olive Dorway Tucker. He and Adell Miller were married in February 1947. She died Feb. 3, 1993.

Tucker was employed 27 years with Missouri-Pacific Railroad, retiring in 1976. He was a member of Moose Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Survivors include two sons, Roger Tucker of Thebes, Billy Tucker of Scottsdale, Ariz.; three daughters, Sandy Dexter and Francis Cook of Anna, Ruth Stubart of Venice, Fla.; a brother, George Tucker of Addison; three sisters, Marjorie Young and Ethyl Hall of Jonesboro, Mae Hutchison of Anna; 17 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel in Cape Girardeau. The Revs. Robert Freezer and Raymond Oxford will officiate. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery at McClure with military rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post in Anna.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Sunday.
