Frances Walker

Frances P. Walker, 94, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, at Monticello House in Jackson.

She was born Aug. 29, 1911, in Montezuma, Colo., daughter of Joseph M. and Angie Stiles Kennedy. She and John P. Walker were married Dec. 29, 1929, in Oklahoma. He died July 23, 1980.

Walker worked at the former Lowenbaum's Dress Factory in Cape Girardeau, and was a member of Freewill Baptist Church in Jackson.

Survivors include three sons, David Walker of Cape Girardeau, Charles Walker of California, John Walker of Chaffee, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and a brother.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Vernon Long officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
