FRANCES PRESTON

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Frances S. Preston, 87, formerly of Perryville, Mo., died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000, at Mark Twain Manor in Bridgeton, Mo.

She was born Oct. 22, 1912, in Perry County, Mo., daughter of Frank A. and Matilda Vogel Schulte. She and James Arthur Preston were married June 11, 1938. He died Sept. 24, 1955.

She retired after working as an executive housekeeper.

Survivors include a son, James Preston of New Melle, Mo.; a daughter, Janet Turner of Bridgeton; two sisters, Evelyn Duvall of Perryville, Mo. and Irene Hill of California; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, five sisters and a grandson.

Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. today at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

Graveside service will be at 2:15 p.m. today at Home Cemetery in Perryville, with the Rev. Francis Agnew officiating.
