FRANCES M. ASMUS

ORAN -- Frances M. Asmus, 89, of Oran, died at 1:03 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 1994, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee.

She was born at Kelso May 13, 1904, daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Eck) Wiedefeld.

She married Adam Asmus Nov. 8, 1928. He died Aug. 14, 1969.

She was a member of the Guardian Angel Catholic Parish of Oran and the St. Ann Sodality.

Survivors are sons, August and Sylvester Asmus, both of Chaffee, and Alfred F. Asmus, Oran; daughters, Marjorie LeGrand and Agnes Landewee, both of Oran; 17 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.

A son, two brothers and seven sisters also preceded her in death.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 5 p.m. Monday.

The parish rosary will be recited Monday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home followed by Knights of Columbus prayers at 7:30.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Guardian Angel Catholic Church by the Rev. Normand Varone. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
