SCOTT CITY -- Frances Faye Klughart, 91, died Wednesday, April 16, 1997, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 5, 1905, in Pine Bluff, Ark., daughter of Edward B. and Julia Ann Berry Gardner.

She married Louis William Klughart Oct. 9, 1932, in Fornfelt.

She served as postmaster of Fornfelt.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Scott City, helped organize the first Girl Scout Council in Scott City, was past-president of Hawthorne Garden Club and helped organize the Sunny Village Garden Club.

Survivors include: her husband; two daughters, Nancy Steele of Jefferson City and Marsha Wheeler of Poplar Bluff; a half-brother, Truman Hall of Phoenix; two half-sisters, Virginia Ingvalson of Scott City and Clara Hoover of Poplar Bluff; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Terry Eades officiating.

Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
