Frances L. Cox, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born on Aug. 5, 1928, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of Ben and Ella Werner Nothdurft. She and Albert Cox were married April 27, 1952, at Cape Girardeau...

Frances L. Cox, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on Aug. 5, 1928, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of Ben and Ella Werner Nothdurft. She and Albert Cox were married April 27, 1952, at Cape Girardeau.

Cox was a charter member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church and a member of the church's Ladies Aid. She was also a member of Telephone Pioneers. Cox worked as an operator and in the engineering department for Southwestern Bell Telephone. She was a graduate of Trinity Lutheran Grade School and College High School.

Survivors include her husband; a son, David Cox of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Donna Wallace of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Don Nothdurft of San Diego, Calif.; and two grandchildren, Robert Guard and Danielle Cox of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother and one sister.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Andrew's Building Fund.

Friends may call today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Paul Short will officiate, with burial in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
