PERRYVILLE -- Frances E. Cissell, 77, of Perryville died Sunday, Oct. 24, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born April 17, 1922, in Perryville, daughter of August and Ida Kirn Berkbuegler. She and Melvin L. Cissell were married Nov. 28, 1946, in Perryville. He died Dec. 13, 1998.
Cissell had been a cook at Perry County School District 32. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and its Ladies Sodality, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, and VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include three sons, James B. Cissell of Bartlett, Tenn., Dennis P. and David M. Cissell of Springfield; three daughters, Patricia A. Thompson and Agnes M. Halfmann of St. Louis, and Donna M. Adams of Perryville.
Also surviving is a brother, John W. Berkbuegler of Mexico, Mo.; three sisters, LaVerne Buchheit of Perryville, Lillian Regelsperger of Valles Mines, Bernetta Beeves of Kansas City; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30-8:50 a.m. The parish wake will be at 7 tonight, followed by the American Legion Auxiliary service at 7:15, and VFW Auxiliary service at 7:30. The rosary will be recited at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent's Church. The Rev. Richard Lause will officiate. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery.
