Frances Bachman

Frances "Irene" Bachman, 90, of York, Pa., formerly of the Scott City area, died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006, at Manor Care Center in York.

She was born June 5, 1916, at Illmo, daughter of Peter A. and Dora Russell Reed. She married Donnell W. Bachman, who preceded her in death.

Bachman owned and operated beauty shops in Ohio and Florida.

Survivors include a daughter, Judith Coombes of York; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers and a sister.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, with the Rev. Jim Woeltje officiating.
