France America Davidson, 92, of Scott City, died Saturday, June 4, 2011, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born July 26, 1918, in Illmo, Mo., to Isadore and Myrtle Clark Davidson.

France worked for Frank Bean Construction, Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel and also worked as a deckhand on the river.

Survivors include a niece, Paula Goodale of Scott City; and two great-nephews, Taylor Goodale and Drew Goodale. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
