KELSO -- Fr. Quentin V. Hahn, a retired Catholic priest who served as chaplain of the Cape Girardeau Curia of the League of Mry, died Sept. 12, 1993. He was 67.
He was born Aug. 5, 1926, to Edward S. Hahn and Hermina M. Compas Hahn. They preceded him in death.
He was educated at St. Louis Preparatory Seminary and Kenrick Seminary of St. Louis. Following his ordination on Feb. 28, 1953, he served as an assistant at St. Gabriel's Parish and as a religious insurctor at Bishop Du Bourgh High School in St. Louis.
He also was chaplain of St. Francis Hosptial of Mountain View and St. Vincent de paul Hospital of Monett.
His priesthood was shared with the following parishes and missions: St. Agnes Cathedral of Springfield, St. Mary's Cathedral of Cape Girardeau, St. Mary's of Pierce City, St. Michael's of Wentwood, St. Joseph's of Advance, St. Anthony's of Glennon, St. Edward's of Dutchtown, Immaculate Conception of Mansfield, St. Leo's of Ava, St. William's of Gainesville, Our Lady of the Lake of Branson, Our Lady of the Cove of Kimberling City, Our Lady of the Ozarks of Forsyth, St. John Vianney of Mountain View, St. Sylvester's of Emminence, St. Cecilia's of Kennett, St. Joseph's of Steele, Sts. Peter and Paul of Pulaskifield, St. Edward's of Cassville, St. Michael's of Fredericktown and Immaculate Conception of New Madrid.
He was a member of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin (Franciscans) from 1964-67. During this time, he served at St. Bonaventure Friary in Detroit, Mich., and was associated with the Third Order of St. Francis.
He is survived by one brother, Arthur Hahn of Jackson; and one sister, Edvira Leible of Kelso.
He was preceded in deaty by two brothers.
A funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Wednesday at his home parish of St. Augustine of Kelso, where he offered his first Solemn Mass March 3, 1953. Bishop John J. Leibrecht will officiate.
Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday at St. Augustine Church in Kelso. A Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
