MATTHEWS -- Floyd Robertson, 71, of Matthews died Sunday, Jan. 21, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born June 18, 1924, in Knoxville, Ark., to William and Virgie Mae Manning Robertson.
He married Elizabeth "Jo" Jones on April 5, 1955. She survives.
Other survivors are a son, Michael Robertson of East Prairie; three daughters, Kay Mims of Quantico, Va., Amanda Bratton of East Prairie and Amy Robertson of Matthews; three sisters, Maggie Harrison and Robbie Clark, both of Matthews, and Mary Harrison of Melbourne, Ark.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.
Robertson was a member of the Piney Creek Baptist Church in Russellville, Ark.
He had worked 26 years as a mechanic and tire recapper for Nicholson's Tire Shop and also worked for 12 years at the Nelson Lumsden Farm in Charter Oak, Mo. He also was a truck driver for the Gene Nanney Trucking Co.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be at the funeral chapel Tuesday at 2 p.m., with the Revs. Cecil Adams and Jerry Hicks officiating.
Burial will be in Matthews Cemetery.
