Floyd William "Frog" Penny, 79, of Cape Girardeau went to be with the Lord peacefully at home, surrounded by family and friends, Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018.
He was born Aug. 30, 1939, in Cape Girardeau to the late Lloyd and Cora Bowman Penny. He and Loine Faries Masters were married Feb. 12, 1983, in Cape Girardeau. She survives of the home.
Frog worked construction, was a self-employed plumber, barber, licensed electrician and a licensed scuba diver. He raced harness horses and was also an auctioneer. He was a very hardworking man, always providing for his family.
He attended Church of God Fellowship in Cape Girardeau. The last 33 years he had been a true Christian.
Loving survivors include his wife, Loine Penny; four sons, Steve (Shelly) Penny of Cape Girardeau, Terry (Linda) Penny of Cape Girardeau, Scott (Liz) Penny of Jackson and Darren (Charlotte) Masters of Norman, Oklahoma; daughter, Rhonda (Charles) Wilson of Oak Ridge; daughter-in-law, Effie Masters of Marble Hill, Missouri; brother, Eugene (Suellen) Penny of Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren, Stevie (Liz) Penny of Afton, Missouri, Sam Penny of Cape Girardeau, Bailee Penny of Jackson, Ashley (Richard) Seiler of Jackson, Allyson (Chris) Sessions of Overland Park, Kansas, Alex (Michaela) Seiler of Oak Ridge, Gloria (Tim) Pender of Oak Ridge, David (Kris) Masters of Marble Hill, Veronica (Adam) Carver of Navarre, Florida, Samantha Baker of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Dara Masters of Norman; 20 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jackie Penny; son, Darrell "Reb" Masters; granddaughter-in-law, Kimberly Penny; and great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Seiler-Monroe.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Darren Henderson, David McNeely, John Harris and Zachary Strong officiating. Burial will follow at Glenallen Cemetery in Glenallen, Missouri.
