Floyd Newell

MARBLE HILL, Mo. --Floyd E. Newell, 90, of St. Charles, Mo., formerly of Bollinger County, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002, at St. Joseph Medical Center in St. Charles.

He was born Nov. 28, 1912, in Grassy, Mo., son of Jesse L. and Clercy E. Myers Newell. He and Reba J. McCormick were married June 8, 1935, in Van Buren, Mo.

He was a retired aerospace mechanic for McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Harold and Ronald Newell of St. Charles; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by an infant son and four sisters.

Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will be in Grassy Friendship Cemetery near Marble Hill.
