PUXICO -- Floyd L. Ward, 92, of Puxico died Sunday, June 18, 1995, at Pine Lawn Rest Home. He was born Nov., 14, 1902, son of William T. and Lillie Jines Ward. On Dec. 7, 1928, he married Lorene Hallbert in Corning, Ark. She preceded him in death. Ward was a lifelong resident of Wappapello and Puxico where he was a retired employee of the Corp of Engineers. PUXICO -- Floyd L. Ward, 92, of Puxico died Sunday, June 18, 1995, at Pine Lawn Rest Home.

He was born Nov., 14, 1902, son of William T. and Lillie Jines Ward.

On Dec. 7, 1928, he married Lorene Hallbert in Corning, Ark. She preceded him in death.

Ward was a lifelong resident of Wappapello and Puxico where he was a retired employee of the Corp of Engineers. He was a member of the Puxico Church of Christ.

Survivors are two sons, Floyd Ward Jr. of Florissant and Larry Ward of St. Peters; two daughters, Mildred Peter of Dupo, Ill. and Betty Townsend of Fort Supply, Okla.; three sisters, Copal Fronabarger of St. Peters, and Opal Ward and Carrie Sutter, both of Cape Girardeau; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters and one great-granddaughter.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico today after 7 p.m.

Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Terry Stockman officiating. Burial will be Puxico Cemetery.
