CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Floyd Holt, 79, of Kevil, Ky., died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at Miner Nursing Center.
He was born Feb. 18, 1922, in Bicknell, Ind., son of Albert and Nell Johnson Holt. He and Mary Heath were married Aug. 31, 1946. She died in February 1981.
Holt had lived in Kentucky the past 15 years. He retired as a conductor with Northwestern Railroad Co. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 839 AF&AM in Berwyn, Ill.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a son, John Holt of Lawrenceville, Ga.; a daughter, Trina Straw of Sikeston, Mo.; a brother, Albert "Bob" Holt of Beach Park, Ill.; and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today. Masonic service will be held at 7.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Assembly of God Church in Charleston. The Rev. Gerald Penn will officiate. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
