TAMMS, Ill. -- Floyd Ford, 92, of Tamms died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo, Ill. He was born Feb. 10, 1911, at Anna, Ill., son of James and Laura Spanfield Ford. He was preceded in death by his first wife Helen in 1983. He and Beulah Heater were married on Jan. 10, 1986...

TAMMS, Ill. -- Floyd Ford, 92, of Tamms died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo, Ill.

He was born Feb. 10, 1911, at Anna, Ill., son of James and Laura Spanfield Ford. He was preceded in death by his first wife Helen in 1983. He and Beulah Heater were married on Jan. 10, 1986.

Floyd attended Sandy Creek Baptist Church in Tamms. He was a veteran of World War II and a retired carpenter.

Survivors include his wife; two sisters, Screlda Martin of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Marie Wilson of Mount Vernon, Ill.; Ronnie Young, who was raised in the home; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and a stepgranddaughter.

He was preceded in death by two sons.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Gene Hart will officiate, with burial in Busby Chapel Cemetery at Goreville, Ill.
