MOUNDS, Ill. -- Floyd Thomas Earnheart, 88, of Mounds died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Marion, Ill.
He was born Dec. 22, 1920, in Pulaski County, Ill., son of the late George and Minnie George Earnheart. He and Elwanda Ford were married Dec. 24, 1941, in Cape Girardeau.
Earnheart was a retired carpenter. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Mounds and the local carpenters union.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Harold and Linda Earnheart of Bethalto, Ill., Gary Earnheart of Mounds; four grandchildren, David, Michael and Stephen Earnheart, Diana Bowen; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, Ill., from noon to service time Sunday.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Buddy Walls officiating. Full military honors will be provided by Illinois Army National Guard Honors Detail and area veterans. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Bardwell, Ky.
