DONGOLA, Ill. -- Floyd E. Karraker, 87, of Dongola, died Wednesday, June 16, 1993, at Union County Hospital in Anna. He was born Sept. 20, 1905, in Dongola, son of Dennis and Minnie Sheffer Karraker. DONGOLA, Ill. -- Floyd E. Karraker, 87, of Dongola, died Wednesday, June 16, 1993, at Union County Hospital in Anna.
He was born Sept. 20, 1905, in Dongola, son of Dennis and Minnie Sheffer Karraker. He and Frances Allen were married June 3, 1938.
Karraker was owner/operator of Karraker Feed and Seed Co. here from 1930-78, and had managed the company from 1926-30.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Denny Karraker of Dongola; three grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Crain Funeral Chapel here. Ronnie Gulley will officiate, with burial in Christian Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
