Floyd Hershel Cravens, 85, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Cravens was born on Oct. 12, 1915 in Hartville, Mo., son of William and Roxie Ward Cravens. He lived in Parma, Mo., since 1937. He and Ethel Painter were married Sept. 14, 1937, in Hartville, Mo.
He was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Danny and Billy Cravens of Parma, and Junior Cravens of Auburn, Ga.; five daughters, Lola Stieger of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Thelma Knight of Hayti, Mo., and Retta Cravens-Roseman of Lilbourn, Mo.; four sisters, Grace Shaw, Sylvia Gregg, and Laura Johnson of Parma, and Margaret Ordiway of Miami, Okla.; 22 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Cravens was preceeded in death by two sons, four brothers, three sisters and two grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Danny Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Bernie Cemetery in Bernie, Mo.
