BENTON -- Funeral service for Floyd Alvin Bryant of Champaign, Ill., will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Church of God in Morley. Eldon Cowell will officiate, with burial in New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton after 4 p.m. today.
Bryant, 62, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born July 7, 1935, at Doniphan, son of the Rev. Payton Edward and Mary Duncan Bryant. He married the former Loretta Mae Cowell.
Bryant was a printer, and had formerly worked at the Southeast Missourian Newspaper in Cape Girardeau. He moved to Champaign 25 years ago from Scott City.
Survivors include two sons, Alan Bryant of Benton, Tim Bryant of Vanduser; two daughters, Barbara Bollinger of Benton, Krissy Rhodes of Vandalia, Ill.; four brothers, Roy Bryant of Rantoul, Ill., Marvin Bryant of Mansfield, Ill., Lowell Bryant of McKinney, Texas, Glenn Bryant of Lowell, Mich.; a sister, Beulah Gossman of Freeland, Mich.; eight grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; and two great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
