ORAN -- Funeral service for Floy Woodrow Marvel of Oran will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Morley.

The Rev. Don Russel will officiate, and burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Garden near Morley.

Mr. Marvel died Sunday at Chaffee General Hospital. He was 78.

He was born Feb. 28, 1913 at Hartman, Ark. to the late Edward and Mary Sexton Marvel. On Feb. 15, 1941, he married the former Mary Elizabeth Halter, who survives of the home.

Mr. Marvel was a laborer for the Scott County Milling Company, and was Oran's street commissioner before his retirement in 1979.

He was a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Morley.

Other survivors include a son, Wendolin Marvel of Oran; two sisters, Pearl Brown of Port Hueneme, Calif. and Della Berry of Kingsman, Ariz.; and several neices and nephews. A brother preceded him in death.

Friends may call after 1:30 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.
