FLOY L. SMITH

SIKESTON -- Floy L. Smith, 85, a resident of the Sikeston Convalescent Center, died Wednesday, June 22, 1994 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born June 9, 1909 in Formosa, Ark. to Hiram S. and Lucy Bell Ward Sandage.

On July 12, 1924, she married the Rev. Henry J. Smith Sr. in Conway, Ark. He preceded her in death Dec. 12, 1992.

She was a homemaker, and a member of the North Acres General Baptist Church in Sikeston.

Survivors include: two sons, Warnie W. Smith of Bettendorf, Iowa and Henry J. "Buck" Smith Jr. of Sikeston; one daughter, Mary Loetta Jones of Kila, Mont.; one sister, Mary Bonds of Orosi, Calif.; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston today from 5 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Henry Jordan of Grayridge, Mo. officiating.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
