Funeral for Floy M. Barnes of Cape Girardeau will be held at 11 a.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Cy Smith will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the chapel from 9 a.m. until service time.
Barnes, 90, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Jan. 7, 1908, at Allenville, daughter of Robert W. and Savannah Welty Maag. She and Ceryl O. Barnes were married July 19, 1929, in Memphis, Tenn. He died July 3, 1956.
Barnes was a cook on the river with Huffman Towing Co. from 1958-74. She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1949 from Caldwell, Ohio.
She was a member of Red Star Baptist Church and VFW Auxiliary.
There are no survivors.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
