MARBLE HILL, Mo. — Flossie Mary Gross Boehl, 95, of Marble Hill passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 11, 1926, in Kennett, Missouri, daughter of George Washington and Ada Amderella Wright Yount. She first married John Clyde Gross on Oct. 2, 1941, and he passed away April 4, 1979. She then married Robert F. Boehl on June 10, 1982, and he passed away Oct. 15, 2010.
Flossie was a retired merchant, a member of VFW Auxiliary Post 1014 and a member of Marble Hill United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Cathy (Lonnie) Trentham of Marble Hill; stepson, Robert F. (Myra) Boehl Jr. of Cincinnati; stepdaughter, Sheryl (Jerry) Sterling of Fruitland; brothers, Albert Yount of Madison, Illinois, and Ray Aldon Yount of Clearwater, Florida; sisters, Fay Hagler and May Stubits, both of Granite City, Illinois; and four grandchildren, Dusti Trentham, R.J. Boehl, Suzy Boehl and Hailey Sterling.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Dave, Frank and the Rev. George Yount.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, with Pastor Tim Zych officiating. Burial will follow in Baker Cemetery near Marble Hill.
