FLORENCE SAWYER

Florence Edna Sawyer, 83, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, April 6, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Feb. 2, 1915, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Frank and Hattie Parker.

Sawyer was a licensed practical nurse at Southeast Hospital and in Elgin, Ill., retiring in 1981. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sons, William Sawyer of Hillsboro, James Sawyer of Springfield, Ill.; three granddaughters; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, three sisters, and a brother.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, with the Rev. David Dissen officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until service time.
