TAMMS, Ill. -- Funeral service for Florence Lucille Franklin, 89, of Tamms will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the Alexander Freewill Baptist Church near Olive Branch, Ill.
The Rev. Henry Potter will officiate, and burial will be in St. John's Cemetery near Dongola.
Friends may call after 12:30 p.m. today at the Jones Funeral Home in Tamms until the time of the service.
Franklin died Friday, Dec. 2, 1994, at the City Care Nursing Home in Anna.
She was born July 28, 1905, at Olmsted, Ky., the daughter of Luther and Sara Elizabeth Hadden Kennedy.
She was a member of the Alexander Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clurie Cullum Franklin, on July 20, 1989, and by a great grandson.
Survivors include three sons, John D. Franklin of Cairo, Earl D. Franklin of Olive Branch and David Franklin of Tamms; six daughters, Terry Elizabeth Campbell and Dorothy Mayberry, both of Cairo, Louise Stiff of Tamms, Barbara Nunley of Peoria, Carolyn Smith of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Linda Johnson of Desota; two brothers, Harry Kennedy and M.L. Kennedy, both of Russellville, Ky.; 32 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
