PERRYVILLE -- Flora E. Hotop, 84, of Perryville died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 1, 1913, in Perry County, daughter of Henry N. and Josephine S. Wibbenmeyer Buchheit. She first married Clyde Gonz Nov. 11, 1939. He died in 1957. She later married Ervine H. Hotop Oct. 24, 1959, at Perryville. He died Nov. 5, 1981.
Hotop had been a licensed practical nurse at Perry County Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church, its Ladies Sodality and Daughters of Isabella.
Survivors include a stepson, Elwin Hotop of Perryville; a stepdaughter, Marie Pratte of Florissant; three sisters, Hilda Kemna of Jefferson City, Cornelia Winkler and Betty Farrar of Perryville; 12 stepgrandchildren; and 19 great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Saturday from 6:30-9:50 a.m. The parish wake will be at 7 tonight, and the rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
