SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Flora Jean Hanners, 74, of Sedgewickville died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 16, 1930, at Marshall, Ark., daughter of Marcus and Flora Ragland Garrison. She and Tommie G. Hanners were married in May 1955.
She was a retired schoolteacher, having started her career at Hurricane Fork School and retiring from Meadows Heights School District. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband; a son, David Hanners of Sedgewickville; two brothers, Carson Garrison of Tulsa, Okla., Marcus Garrison of Ann Arbor, Mich.; and four sisters, Winona Garrison of Cape Girardeau, Marjorie Garrison of Jackson, Carolyn Gifford of Lincoln, Neb., and Virginia Visel of Shaker Heights, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Larry Treadwell and Donald Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery at Marshall.
Arrangements are being handled by Liley Funeral Home in Patton, Mo.
