FLORA ELENA BELLAMY

CAIRO, Ill. -- Flora Elena Bellamy, 83, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Cairo, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1993, at the Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born in Pulaski County, Ill., Mar. 10, 1910, daughter of Ed G. Burd and Josie O. Knupp Burd.

She married George Bellamy in 1935. He preceded her in death in 1984.

She was a member of the Tigert Memorial United Methodist Church in Cairo, and United Methodist Women. She retired From P.N. Hirsch Co., in Cairo in 1974.

Survivors include a brother, Clyde Burd of Olmsted, Ill.; a granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by five bothers.

Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Tigert Memorial United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kenneth Provines officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Olmsted.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo, and after 9 a.m. Saturday at Tigert Church.
