PERRYVILLE -- Flora R. Brown, 80, of Perryville, died Friday, March 22, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 20, 1916, in Perry County, daughter of John W. and Ena Sanford Reiss. She married Sylvester Brown on Jan. 23, 1954. He died Aug. 23, 1965.
Brown was a retired grocery checker. She was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church, Senior Citizens and American Legion Auxiliary to Post 133.
Survivors include three sons, Roger Weibrecht of Salem, Ore., William Weibrecht of Perryville and Paul Brown of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Judith Gibbar of Perryville and Wilma Whitney of St. Louis; a brother, Roy Reiss of Perryville; two sisters, Elsie Valleroy and Goldie Mangels, both of Perryville; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 4-9 p.m. Monday and from 6:30-10:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. George Billings officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
